U.S. Reps. Chris Van Hollen and Elijah Cummings and Sen. Ben Cardin held a press conference Monday in response to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's speech in Baltimore.

"I'm actually pleased Donald Trump is coming back to Maryland because it gives Marylanders and indeed all of Americans another opportunity to examine his reckless proposals, his ugly rhetoric, his erratic behavior and his insulting comments about our military,"  Van Hollen said. "This is a man who says he knows a lot, but in face knows very little. That is a dangerous combination to have in the White House and to have as the person  who has their fingers on our nuclear codes."

Van Hollen continued praising Hillary Clinton for her experience, her bipartisan record and her temperament.
