Police say the round that fatally wounded a Prince George's County Police officer Sunday may have been fired by a fellow officer.
"Circumstantially we believe the fire round was fired by one of his fellow Prince George's County police officers," chief Hank Stawinski said.
Investigators learned that Michael Ford, the alleged shooter, did not expect to survive the incident at the station in Prince George's County, the police chief said.

During the incident, there were several opportunities for exchange of gunfire. Police say Ford opened fire on the first officer he saw outside the station around Sunday afternoon, firing at several cars and an ambulance during the exchange.
"Detective Colson drew fire to himself and in doing so was mortally wounded," the chief said.
Stawinski said one of Ford's brothers took video of the shooting.
