Crime numbers for Prince George's County to be released today

PG County Police have news conference today

PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) -  

Officials in Prince George's County are preparing to announce what they say are historic lows in crime statistics.
 
Officials including Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, Police Chief Mark Magaw and County Executive Rushern Baker are set to discuss the crime reduction at a news conference Wednesday at police headquarters.
 
County leaders will also discuss a crime-reduction program they've implemented known as the Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative.
