Should undocumented immigrants be allowed to vote in local elections? That's the issue the College Park City Council will consider Tuesday evening.
They are debating a charter amendment to remove the requirement that someone has to be a U.S citizen to vote. If approved illegal immigrants would be allowed to vote in city elections, but not national elections. If the council passes the measure at Tuesday's meeting the amendment would go into effect September 27.
