Boys confess to setting fire at late author Tom Clancy's estate

Two boys are charged with arson.

Police say the 12- and 14-year-old set fire to the estate of late author Tom Clancy in Calvert County. The boys confessed to igniting combustibles in the living room of the two-story home last week.

Most of the building was lost in the fire, leaving approximately $15,000 worth of damage. No one was hurt in the fire.

Clancy, who wrote "The Hunt for Red October," "Clear and Present Danger" and "Patriot Games," died last year at age 66.
