Ocean City Police are investigating a death in the area of 2nd Street and the Beach.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Ashley O'Connor of Plano, Texas.
Beachgoers reported seeing a body to city employees around 6:30 a.m. Monday. Ocean City dispatchers were then alerted.

Ocean City Police Forensics recovered the victim's body from the sand, and removed it at approximately 4:15 p.m.
The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
The incident is still under investigation.
