ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Gov. Larry Hogan is scheduled to meet with the chair of the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland to discuss the shortage of black applicants chosen as finalists to grow and process medical marijuana in the state.

Del. Cheryl Glenn is set to meet with Hogan Thursday.

She says only one minority applicant was chosen as a finalist out of 15 growers and 15 processors.

The top 15 will go through background checks. If any of them do not get licensed, applicants next in line in the rankings will be considered.
