Close to 250 BGE customers remained without power Monday night, with crews working "around the clock" to restore power ahead of a second wave of snow, according to a release from the company.
BGE restored powered to 95 percent of its affected customers by 4 p.m. following Sunday and Monday's snowfall. More than 23,000 customers lost power Monday.
"We thank our customers for their patience and understanding as crews work under challenging conditions to restore power," Carol Dodson, vice president and chief customer officer for BGE, said in a release. "We also advise our customers to prepare for the possibility of additional outages that may occur as more winter weather enters the region on Tuesday morning. Customers should visit BGE's online Storm Center for important information on how to stay safe during and after a storm."
