While Hurricane Maria continues to spin in the Atlantic, there has been some progress in the recovery after Irma.

Several Maryland BGE crews are now coming home after helping restore power in Daytona, Florida.

BGE crews worked with utility crews from across the country for nearly two weeks.

"In some of the parts, it was like an elderly community. I know they were hit hard. Just to get the air conditioning back in their house was a great feeling. You could see it in them," said Chris Jones, a BGE supervisor.

BGE was not the only company that went to help. Employees and contractors across the Exelon family of utilities including Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power, ComED, PECO, and Pepcoas as well as other utilities nationwide traveled to help.
