A local man has been inspiring kids for 20 years dressing up in a Batman costume and visiting hospitals.
But in light of the shootings in Aurora, Colorado some of his visits have been canceled.
Lenny Robinson is disappointed, but understands under the circumstances. This Maryland man dresses up as batman and visits sick children across the country.
Recently, Robinson found himself without several visits after the Colorado shootings.
Robinson says the hospitals are worried he will scare children instead of bringing a bright spot to their day.
For more than 20 years this Batman impersonator has been spreading a message of strength and hope to children in hospitals.
His cross country tour started six weeks ago when he picked up his custom made bat mobile in British Columbia, Canada.
While heading home to Maryland he's made more than a dozen stops.
After the Colorado movie theater shootings administrators at hospitals in St. Louis and Chicago called off his visits.
Robinson spoke to ABC by phone.
He says he understands and respects the cancellations.
Robinson plans to return to Maryland this week after stops in Ohio and West Virginia.
