Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Star-Spangled Spectacular

What: A Fourth of July concert celebration including a salute to the armed forces, fireworks and the newest edition of John Williams' Star Wars Score.

Artscape 2016

What: America's largest free arts festival is in its 35th year. The theme for this year's Artscape is Space: Explore What's Out There. The 2016 festival is headlined by Wyclef Jean on Friday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m., The Mighty Mighty Bosstones on Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m. and the Legendary Burning Spear on Sunday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. on the BGE Main Stage at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

When: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. July 15-16 and 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. July 17

Rock the Ring Summer Concert Series

What: The concert series at Smyth Jewelers in Timonium includes live performances, food trucks, local Baltimore brews and exclusive discounts on Smyth merchandise. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company.

When: 6-8 p.m. July 21 and Aug. 18

Ravens practice

What: The Ravens will hold two free, open practices to members of the public in August. 

When: 7 p.m. Aug. 1 and 6 p.m. Aug. 6. On Aug. 1, which is the Ravens' annual Military Appreciation Day. about 3,500 special seats will be reserved for active service members and veterans who present valid military identification upon check-in at the stadium. On Aug. 6, the Ravens will hold a fireworks night, which will include post-practice autographs for children and a fireworks/laser show. Both stadium practices will have interactive fan events, including activities designed specifically for younger fans, giveaways and cheerleader/mascot meet-and-greets.

Jazz in the Sculpture Garden: Tizer Quartet featuring Karen Briggs

What: Lauded as a “master” by The Baltimore Sun, keyboardist Lao Tizer and his group will be joined by vocalist Karen Briggs. The jazz violinist extraordinaire has performed with Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, and Wu-Tang Clan.

The Top of the World Observation Gallery presents “Ripple Effect” 

What: “Ripple Effect” is an exhibition of paintings by Sylvie Van Helden and Christine Buckton Tillman that explores the work of two artists who employ fluid painting techniques, utilizing liquid acrylics, inks, and gouaches on paper, mixing them with processes such as collage and digitally printed fabric.

Little Italy Open Air Film Fest
