Baltimore Beer Week 

What: From the website, "Baltimore Beer Week is a collaborative effort of businesses and beer enthusiasts in our community to celebrate and highlight the unique beer culture that exists in and around the Chesapeake region." Like you needed an excuse to drink a beer in Baltimore this week.

When: October 9 to 18. 

Where: Various locations across Baltimore.



Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

What:  The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Timonium offers a handmade shopping spree perfect for the change of season. Visitors can browse the latest creations from more than 250 of the nation’s finest artisans, view live artist demonstrations, peruse the aisles to the accompaniment of live music and sample gourmet treats from artisanal food vendors.

When: October 9 - October 11, 10:00AM-5:00PM

Where: The Maryland State Fairgrounds

United States Sailboat Show

What: In October sailors from around the globe gather on miles of docks in historic Annapolis for the United States Sailboat Show. This internationally acclaimed sailboat show is the largest and oldest in-water sailboat show in the world.

When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (10:00am - 6:30pm) -- Monday (10:00am - 5:00pm)

Maryland Renaissance Festival

What: Unique among most festivals, including renaissance festivals, the Maryland Renaissance Festival utilizes a story line and progresses each year forward in the timeline of Henry VIII, through all his reign and all his six wives. This year finds the festival in its third progression, well into the King’s marriage with his first wife Katherine of Aragon. MORE

When: The festival is open weekends (Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day Monday), from August 29 till October 25, 2015. Festival hours are 10:00am till 7:00pm.

Where: The Maryland Renaissance Festival is located at: 1821 Crownsville Rd. Annapolis, MD 21401.
