The Emergency Communications Center received information that a plane was attempting to land at St. Mary's County Regional Airport on Friday around 2:40 pm.

According to officials, the plane's landing gear did not deploy, so the pilot had to circle the area of the airport to burn fuel to make an emergency landing.

Anthony James Capozzi, the pilot of the aircraft was able to make a landing on the airport runway around 4:26 pm.

Capozzi was the only person on the plane. He has no injuries.
