The Working Matters Coalition is going to call on Governor Larry Hogan to sign the Healthy Working Families Act (HB1) Wednesday.

The Act was passed in April by the Maryland General Assembly and was presented to Governor Hogan on April 27. From that date the Governor has 30 days in which he can sign, veto or allow the bill to become law without his signature.

HB1 requires five paid sick-leave days at businesses with 15 or more employees.

The Coalition will be joined by supporters and House Bill Sponsor Delegate Luke Clippinger at the press conference starting at 10:30 A.M. at The Laughing Pint in Baltimore.
