Police have a second man in custody in connection to an area “bottle bomb” incident.
Twenty-three-year-old Michael Hollingsworth of Takoma Park was arrested without incident Friday by Prince George’s County Police.
He is charged with two felonies for his connection to the May 24 attack at the Magic Johnson Theatres in Largo. Hollingsworth is facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted of the charges which include manufacture and possession of a destructive device and conspiracy. Additional charges could be pending from other jurisdictions including Anne Arundel County and Montgomery County.
The arrest follows the arrest of the first suspect, Manuel Joyner Bell, last week in Prince George’s County.
Prince George's County Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor stated, "I am proud of our personnel from the Office of the Fire Marshal and their relentless efforts to identify and arrest two individuals that terrorized citizens, visitors and business. These arrests should serve as a reminder that we take these crimes seriously and will investigate each and everyone thoroughly until an arrest is made."
Hollingsworth is being held without bond at the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
