A 10-year-old's desire to bring attention to name calling in Maryland schools has paid off. Governor O'Malley has declared today No Name Calling Day.
The girl, named Jaida, wrote to the governor asking him to declare January 25 as No Name Calling Day, according to an email sent to ABC2. This week is considered No Name Calling Week, to urge schools and youth groups to talk to kids about the harmful effects of teasing and name calling.
