ELICOTT CITY, Md. - Two people were taken to Shock Trauma after a car drove through the front of a Dunkin Donuts in Howard County.
Just after 5:30 p.m., the Howard County Fire Department was called to the Dunkin Donuts on the 8400 block of Baltimore National Pike for reports of an SUV driving through the front of the building, injuring two pedestrians.
According to reports, the vehicle struck two people standing in front of the building and pushed them through the storefront. Those two people, ages 36 and 44 from Elicott City, are listed in serious but stable condition.
The driver, a 77-year-old woman from Elicott City, and her two adult passengers were all unharmed.
There is heavy damage to the storefront, and building inspectors were sent to the scene.
Howard County police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
