SUV hits police car, 7 hurt

Seven people were hurt after an SUV sideswiped a police car and flipped over Saturday night

The crash happened just before midnight in the 5600 block of Waterloo Road in Howard County. Police say a marked cruiser was driving north on Waterloo Road  when a 2004 Ford Expedition going south crossed the median and sideswiped the cruiser. The SUV then swerved off the road and flipped over.

Howard County police officer Sara Dorsey was taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV, identified as Johnnie Williams Sr., 35 of Baltimore was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Williams’ adult female passenger and three children ranging from seven to 17 were also taken to Shock Trauma. They are all expected to survive.
