Robert Stone arrested on multiple cases of burglaries

COLUMBIA, Md. - Howard County Police have arrested and charged a man for multiple burglaries. 

After locating a stolen car on November 22, police noticed Robert Stone walking by a home, wearing a mask and gloves. Stone, 42, of Daystar Court,  ran to the car and tried to drive away, but was captured by the officers.

After investigating officers found that a nearby house had been burglarized. Stone was arrested at the scene.

After later searching Stone's home police found a stolen green purse with foreign currency that had been stolen on July 14 in a home in the 6800 block of Creekside Road in Clarksville.

Stone was later released on bail while police executed a search warrant and were applying for additional  burglary charges.  

Another warrant was issued for Stone in connection with a burglary on August 31 in the 5900 block of Bright Flow Mews, Columbia.

In that burglary a man said that he awoke to a male suspect in his bedroom looking over his dresser.  The suspect left after the man yelled for him to leave.  A sheer gold bag containing gift cards had been stolen.

That gold bag was found in Stone's home during a police search.

Baltimore City Police picked Stone up after that new warrant was issued.

Stone was charged with:

  • First-degree burglary
  • Third-degree burglary
  • Fourth-degree burglary
  • Destruction of property
  • Auto theft
  • Resisting arrest in multiple cases
