A puppy found trapped in a plastic container in Columbia is doing much better today. Eddy was severely emaciated and near death, but thanks to the quick thinking of a Howard County police officer, the American pit bull terrier is alive and happy.

Its been a month, and Eddy has come a long way since he was found March 25. Now he and the other puppy, Bailey, pictured above, are looking for permanent, loving homes.
