Howard County police are investigating an accidental shooting in Jessup that left one man dead Saturday.
Police said Wyatt Haggerty, 21, of Boonsboro was at a friends house on July 22 when he was shot after a gun accidently discharged.
Haggerty was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
In the initial investigation, police discovered that Haggerty along with his friends were gearing up to go to a gun range when one of the firearms discharged while being put into its case.
The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
