Howard County Police is investigating a single-car crash in Mount Airy over the weekend that seriously injured a Montgomery County man.
Just before 4 AM on Sunday police say a 2012 Honda Civic was driving east on Frederick
Road near Country View Way when for unknown reasoning it left the roadway, hit a fence and then overturned.
The driver and sole-occupant, 26-year-old Christian Lazar, of Gaithersburg, was flown to the
University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries.
Frederick Road between West Watersville Road and Long Corned Road was closed for about an hour and a half while the crash scene was cleared.
The investigation is still ongoing.
