Howard County police are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that happened late Friday night.
At a little after 12:15 a.m., a 2015 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Washington Boulevard, near Troy Hill Drive, when it hit a pedestrian that was walking in the travel portion of the roadway.
The pedestrian, 38-year-old Eugene Dudley Plum, Jr., of Elkridge, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries and the driver and sole occupant of the Honda, 57-year-old Samer Abou-Seif, of Laurel, was not injured and remained at the scene.
This investigation is ongoing.
