ELLICOTT CITY, Md. - You could have made at least $100 just for turning over your gun.
For the first time in 18 years, Howard County held a gun safety and buyback event Friday.
At the event, County Executive Ken Ulman was joined by the Howard County chief of police to talk about the event.
Participants were allowed to turn in up to three guns and also receive free gun locks.
If you missed out on the event Friday, you can still cash in on the action. A second day of the event is being held Saturday in Columbia from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
