HoCo to hold job fair for displaced Ellicott City employees

The Howard County Office of Workforce Development will hold a job fair Monday for employees effected by the historic flooding. 

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Disaster Assistance Center, which is housed in the Ellicott City 50+ Center, located at 9401 Frederick Road.

The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation is partnering with Howard County Workforce Development and the Howard County Economic Development Authority to identify immediate employment opportunities for displaced workers. 

According to a post on the Howard County Government's Facebook page, retail, food service and other employers have identified immediate temporary and permanent employment opportunities for displaced workers.

Workforce Development staff will be at the DAC Monday through Friday to help displaced employees one-on-one.
