Residents and business owners will have extended access to Ellicott City’s Main Street beginning Thursday.
Locals will be allowed to return to their property to clean up, make repairs and move out of their buildings, however rebuilding efforts aren't allowed.
Access begins at 7 a.m. Thursday and continues through Monday.

A supply truck will be on site distributing cleaning supplies. After Monday, Main Street will be closed for three weeks to give public works crews time to work on the reopening of Main Street.
Officials hope to reopen the area to pedestrian traffic around Sept. 16.
