JESSUP, MARYLAND - There was an intense situation at Jessup prison today.
A couple hundred people yelling and screaming during a fierce battle.
The heat just added to the fury but don't worry, it was all for a good cause.
It's the annual Tug-of-War by correctional officers from every corner of the state.
A record number teams, 28, competed this year for the honor to say they are the best.
The officers do this to benefit the Special Olympics of Maryland. Today alone they will raise more than $20,000.
These officers have a lot harder day at work than most of us do , but that does mean the they don't care about important issues.
Beside these awesome legs and huge biceps, these men and women correctional officers have big hearts.
Since they started this in 1993, they have raised over a quarter of a million dollars for the Special Olympics.
