3D printing aids in creating jobs for the future

Howard County unveils new initiative

New jobs could be on the horizon all thanks to digital manufacturing.

The Howard County Economic Development Authority is preparing to launch a statewide initiative to create new jobs in 3D printing and digital manufacturing.

County Executive Ken Ulman says, "We believe digital manufacturing holds tremendous potential for startups and existing businesses in Howard County and Maryland."

Ulman will introduce the 3D Maryland leadership team and describe how the program works on Friday at UAV solutions, a Howard County company that uses 3D printing in the production of unmanned aircraft.
