Tornado confirmed in Harford County

JARRETTSVILLE, Md. - The National Weather Service confirms that violent weather that hit Harford County on Friday was indeed a tornado.

The NWS said that a EF-0 tornado with winds up to 80 mph touched down in Harford County Friday between 7:07 and 7:12 p.m. The storm caused tree and minor roofing damage along a 1.2 mile path in Jarrettsville.

The National Weather Service focused their investigation on the home of Donald Alcorn, located in the 2100 block of Cox Road in Jarrettsville. Alcorn's home suffered roofing damage and several trees on his property were destroyed.  

No one was injured in the storm.
