Emergency personnel at Aberdeen Proving Ground responded to a suspicious vehicle attempting to gain entry at the Maryland Avenue Gate area Wednesday morning.
Officials said the incident at Gate 715 has been cleared and Aberdeen Proving Ground has returned to normal operations.
At approximately 9 a.m., a truck being inspected by a Military Working Dog alerted officials to possible explosives. The driver and one passenger were taken aside and questioned while the vehicle was inspected, officials said.
The vehicle was then cleared.
Entry and exit was restricted as security forces took precaution. Locals were advised to avoid the area.
