In the last few weeks, thousands of sunflowers have bloomed in Harford County, drawing onlookers from all over the area.
The Maryland State Police say people are stopping along the side of the road to take pictures of the blossoms-- and it's causing a traffic hazard.
"Please do not stop along Jarrettsville Pike north of Hess Rd to photograph the sunflower field. It creates a tremendous traffic hazard as well as a danger to the pedestrians," state police with the Bel Air barrack wrote on Facebook last week.
That sunflower field at Route 146 and Hess Road is owned by Clear Meadow Farm. The best time to view them is through next weekend, according to the farm's website.
"Please remember that although the sunflowers are beautiful to view and fun to photograph, they are also a cash crop for farmers and will be harvested in late fall. We appreciate if you treat the sunflower plants with respect when viewing," the farm's website reads.
