An 8-month-old boy is in serious condition after a family dog bit him in the head Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the 200 block in Woodland Green Way for a reported dog biting incident just before 9 p.m.
Police say medical treatment was quickly administered to the child after the scene was secured.
Due to the severity of the infant's injuries, Maryland State Police transported him to Johns Hopkins Pediatric for further care.
The dog has since been removed from the home, and the child remains in critical condition.
