Health leaders hope to contain spread through clinics

BEL AIR, Md. - While some doctors and drug stores have reported limited supplies of flu vaccine in the area, Harford County will offer a pair of free clinics heading into the weekend.

"Get the flu mist, the flu shot.  We have adequate supply of both," said Harford County Health Officer Susan Kelly, "Protect yourself.  You protect yourself, you protect your family and there are other strategies that are common sense strategies that I'd also like to emphasize.  Hand washing.  That is so important.  If someone is ill, stay home from work.

The health department is offering the free vaccines Friday from 1 to 5pm in the County Council chambers at 212 South Bond Street in Bel Air, while Upper Chesapeake Medical Center will offer its own clinic on Saturday at the Harford Mall from 10am to 2pm.
