Twenty-nine law enforcement officers from around Harford County will be honored Wednesday night for making numerous arrests for drunk and drugged driving.
The awards will be given out by Harford County State’s Attorney Joseph Cassilly .
"Our law enforcement officers are the best in their efforts to maintain safety onthe county's roads," Cassilly said in a news release. "They are responsible for saving many lives and sparing families the devastation caused by impaired drivers.”
Cassilly is recognizing five officers from the state police’s Bel Air precinct, five officers from the state police’s JFK Highway precinct, six officers from the Harford County Sheriff's Department, five officers from the Maryland Transportation Authority, three officers from the Bel Air Police Department, four officers from the Havre de Grace Police Department and two officers from the Aberdeen Police Department.
The Harford County State's Attorney's Office has been active in the annual DWI Law Enforcement Recognition Awards for the past 24 years.
