The vote is in and it's not great for Harford County school teachers.
The good news, the district won't be cutting jobs.
The bad news, teachers will have to go another year without a raise.
At the school board meeting Monday night the board approved the superintendent’s budget 7 to 2.
Before the vote members heard from teachers who said while they love their jobs, they can't afford to stay another school year without a raise.
“I mean, I love my job and I love teaching. I love my school and I love my kids,” Mike Moore, a Fallston Middle School teacher, said. “It’s just, it’s unfortunate that I give so much to everyone else’s kids in this county and we just can’t afford to have our own.
While teachers may not believe it after tonight’s vote, school board members said they're committed to keeping teachers in Harford County.
