2-alarm fire guts Harford Co. home

FOREST HILL, Md. - A fire gutted a Harford County home early Tuesday morning and sent several people running for safety.

The fire broke out around 4:30 in the 2400 block of Dixie Lane says Rich Gardiner of the Harford County Fire Department.

Crews initially were told someone was trapped in the home, but when they arrived they found all seven people who were inside when the fire broke out, safely escaped.

A neighbor tells ABC2 the fire may have started from an outdoor grill that was used Monday and left on overnight.

Neighbors also say a dog died in the fire.

Gardiner says they are still investigating to find an official cause of the fire.
