Keith Matthews out of the hospital after 3,500 lbs of debris fell on him

FALLSTON, Md. (WMAR) -

UPDATE  Keith Mathews, a man that suffered injuries after more than 3,500 lbs of debris fell on him in his car detailing shop during a storm, is still recovering -- in his wallet.

His place of work was completely destroyed, and his surgeries and rehabilitation costs have racked up a large bill.

Mathews' family and friends hosted a car wash fundraising event at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning to raise money for him at the same location his shop was located.
