BEL AIR, Md. - A Bel Air man is taking is Christmas lights display on the road.
Last year, Jim Kurz "over-decorated" his house with Christmas lights and synchronized it to "Call Me Maybe"
He followed that up with Halloween lights synchronized to "What Does the Fox Say?"
However, due to the high traffic congestion on his street, he needed to move his lights to another venue. Enter St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air.
Church associate pastor Blaise Sedney offered his campus as a location for the Christmas lights display. The result is a free, "drive-thru" display of 22,000 festive Christmas lights synchronized to holiday music.
The display is located on the side of the church campus, located on 1200 Churchville Road, facing away from Route 22. Drivers should use the main entrance on Churchville Road at the intersection of Brierhill Drive across from the Walgreens pharmacy.
Weather permitting, the display will run every night starting at 6 p.m., except for a few nights when the display times will be adjusted to accommodate other church functions. To check the current schedule, call 410-838-3178 or www.smlc.org .
