ABERDEEN, Md. - You see it drab and dreary. She sees it differently.
"I see rain giving us flowers, peaceful", said Amanda Hichkad.
On a rainy day at Ripken Stadium, let's take a walk. While we wait for blue skies, this married mom of three boys craves the next second of life.
"My mom has cancer and its not easy, but she can do it all", said her 11-year-old son Grayson.
Hichkad is married to Tejan and also has sons Cooper and Brody. You see this mom who can do it all even while battling cervical cancer and its not good.
When the doctor told her she had cancer, she didn't hear another word. She became a Google Dr. and relied on Cancer Life Net for guidance through this dark trail. And that's who we are walking for next Saturday, May 17 during the Amanda Hichkad Chesapeake Cancer Alliance Celebration Walk.
Money will go to the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance, The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation and Cancer LIfe Net.
