Gabor Lovasz was charged with
negligent driving, unsafe lane changing, among other offenses. He was also fined $450.
Police investigators determined Lovasz was distracted by flashing lights behind him at the time of the crash. Lovasz didn't notice vehicles ahead of him had stopped, investigators said.
He then swerved, hitting two vehicles, which triggered a chain reaction sending one of the cars over the barrier and into the water below.
Jade Lake, the woman driving the in the car that was sent over the edge, survived. She swam to safety after her car "exploded with glass",
Lake told ABC.
