A city on Maryland's Eastern Shore city is getting a new mural to honor its African-American heritage.

The 48-foot wide mural will be formally presented in Cambridge on Friday. The presentation comes a week before the 50th anniversary of the Cambridge Race Riots.

The mural includes Harriet Tubman, the famed abolitionist who was born nearby, and other prominent African-Americans.

Dorchester County tourism officials say the area in front of the mural will likely be developed, possibly into a park.
