A 27-year-old man is dead leaving the roadway and striking a tree and fence in Loveville.
St. Mary’s County Sherriff’s Office says a 1990 Ford pickup was found around 2:18 a.m. Saturday in the area of Lenny Penny Lane.
The driver, Franklin Bowles, was pronounced dead on scene.
Investigations reveal the truck was driving northbound on Loveville Road when it crossed the centerline and left the roadway and struck a tree and fence in the process.
At this time, officials believe speed and alcohol are contributing factors in this incident.
