Labor Day festivities were held Monday all across the state.

The small town of Grasonville in Queen Anne's County hosted a parade. Main Street was filled with the sounds of bands and dance groups. Folks lined up in front of Grasonville Elementary School to make the most of the three-day weekend.

"Just being with family, being with friends, cook outs. The last weekend before, you know kids have already started back to school. It's the last holiday before some kids have to return to school," Vernetta Pauls Sherman said.

Grasonville is named after Maryland's first elected governor,  Gov. William Grason.
