The Queen Anne's County Sheriff is offering free gunlocks to residents as shocking stuffers.
Sheriff Gary Hofmann is offering gunlocks for those residents that may need a last minute gift stocking stuffers. "We have a limited supply of gunlocks that over the few years we've given away at various carnivals and fairs" said Sheriff Hofmann.
"Too often you read about a child playing with a gun which results in an accidental shooting, when a simple lock can prevent it," he said.
With the tragedy at Sandy Hook and the gun control debate in the news, the Sheriff is reminding Maryland Law requires gun owners to keep their weapons locked and secure.
To get a free gunlock, just stop on by the Sheriff's Headquarters in Centreville.
