CRISFIELD, Md. - Parts of the Eastern Shore was hard hit by by Superstorm Sandy and many people are still trying to recover from the damage.

So the Department of Aging will help to distribute meals and household necessities to some of those residents still struggling in Crisfield.

Volunteers will target most homebound seniors, recipients of home-delivered meals and those in need of hygiene and cleaning supplies.

Those things can become expensive especially for people on fixed income.

In addition to food and blankets, Department of Aging employees donated personal hygiene and household cleaning products that seniors often list among the most expensive items of their budgets.
