PERRYVILLE, Md. - A woman is at Shock Trauma after she lost control of her car on an icy hill and slid into a moving train.
According to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office, the woman was driving south on Jackson Station Road in Perryville when she slid on an icy hill and hit the front of a moving freight train. She then also hit part of the rail crossing arm.
The engineer saw the car coming and tried to stop the train, but he was unable to stop the 1/2 mile long, 2,000 ton train.
Medics transported the woman to Shock Trauma, there is no word on her condition.
Deputies say the road is closed until further notice for the investigation.
