Police are investigating a deadly collision in Cecil County.
Just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, troopers responded to a crash on Telegraph Road near Little Elk Neck Road.
An investigation determined that 35-year-old Jason Dale Owens of Nottingham, PA was driving a Hyundai Sante Fe westbound when he crossed the center line and hit a GMC Sierra traveling eastbound.
Owens left the scene and walked toward Wesley's Restaurant near Hilltop Road.
He hitched a ride on the bed of a Ford F-150 driving back toward the crash scene when, for unknown reasons, he got out of the truck and was hit by a Kia Sorrento on Telegraph Road.
Owens was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the GMC Sierra was taken to Union Hospital with minor injuries. No one else was injured.
The incident is still under investigation.
