Dashcam video shows dramatic rescue on Tydings Bridge

PERRYVILLE, Md. - Video tweeted by the Maryland State Police on Tuesday, shows one of their troopers stopping someone from jumping off the Tydings Bridge in Cecil County.

On Saturday around 7:30 p.m. a trooper from the JFK Barracks found a man walking south across the Tydings Bridge.  When the trooper stopped, the man tried to jump over the side of the bridge.  The trooper got out of the car and was able to pull the man down from the ledge and kept him from jumping.

The dash camera video captured the dramatic rescue.

State Police say medics took the man to Harford Memorial Hospital.  He has not been charged with anything.
