Drivers planning to hit the highway through Cecil County this week should keep planned lane closures in mind.
Two lanes for southbound traffic on I-95 between Maryland Route 222, exit 93, and Maryland Route 272, exit 100, in Cecil County will be temporarily closed for overnight work Monday, July 21, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday, as long as weather allows it.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, two lanes for northbound traffic in the same span of highway will be closed. The closure will also take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning.
Traffic will be moving in the remaining lane, but drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes like U.S. Route 40.
In case of inclement weather, more road work may take place Thursday.
The roadwork is related to the York Building Products project.
