In an effort to promote driver awareness and safety, American Towman Spirit, Incorporated, a non-profit with a purpose of protecting tow truck operators on the roads, are on a national mission to protect drivers.

‘The Spirit Ride’ is coming to Maryland. The coast-to-coast campaign’s goal is to raise awareness of driving laws and drivers’ awareness of tow truck and other emergency personnel on the side of the road.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, three years ago 33 tow truck operators were killed in road side accidents.
