WESTMINSTER, Md. - When the Carroll County Board of Commissioners meets next Tuesday they'll open the session with a prayer to Jesus Christ, like they always do.
But two people who live in the county say that offends them. They filed a lawsuit with the district court in Baltimore claiming that prayer is unconstitutional. Instead Neil Ridgely and Bruce Hake want meetings to open with a prayer encompassing all faiths.
The commissioner says he knows about the lawsuit... but hasn't talked to county's attorney yet.
